A Little Something to Keep Away the Winter Chill

Because we live in New England, hot cocoa is one of those things that we HAVE to keep on hand in our home. It just makes you feel cozy and warm when the temps are in the teens and the winter wind is howling. This particular hot cocoa set was given as part of a gift, and although the contents of the cups can't be seen, there is cocoa hiding under those mini marshmallows (chocolate chips too!). Most of the supplies that I used for this project are now retired, but the Simple Seasonal Thanks stamp was one of those retired items that I had to keep for myself because I have this snowman thing and because it's really cute. The blue ribbon that is on the bags is actually white that I dyed using the Not Quite Navy ink. Thanks for visiting!

Summer Scrapbook Page

I have to confess that this scrapbook page is actually one that I did a few years ago. Although I've been working on traditional projects, I haven't had time to photograph those projects yet and I haven't worked with My Digital Studio for a while. Consequently, I haven't had any projects to post here, but I really wanted to post SOMETHING. I went through some older project images and I found this...perfect! I can't recall for certain, but I think this is one of the earliest digital projects that I did, which really shows how easy it is to use. It's not as involved as some of my more recent projects, but it's pretty darn good. I still cannot say enough good things about the the My Digital Studio software; if you don't have it, you need to buy it. Now. If you're not familiar with it, just take a look through some of my past projects and you'll be convinced. I've done my best to label my projects for certain categories, so if you do a search on my blog for My Digital Studio or "MDS" you should be able to locate them. I hope you'll give My Digital Studio a try! Thanks for visiting!

Introducing Thinlits Card Dies!

Today marks the release of a what I think is a fabulous new product: Thinlits Card Dies. These dies allow you to cut and score at the same time to create fun, interactive cards! There are two dies being released today and each one is actually a set of 10 dies (one main die to create the card base and 9 accent dies) and at $32.95 US/$40.95 CAN, they're a great value. In addition to being able to customize your cards using the various accent dies, they also work well with some of the current stamp sets, including:

Label Card Thinlits Die (item 133479):
  • Happy Day Stamp Set (item 130294 W item 130297 C)
Circle Card Thinlits Die (item 133480):
  • Worth the Wait Stamp (item 131094 W)
  • Five-Way Flower Stamp (item 131088 W)
Both card dies pair well with:
  • Oh, Hello Stamp Set (item 131931 W item 130733 C)
  • Yippee-Skippee! Stamp Set (item 131341 W item 131344 C)
  • Really Good Greetings Stamp Set (item 130330 W item 130333 C)
  • Regarding Dahlias Stamp Set (item 130324 W item 130327 C)
These dies also work well with the new magnetic platform (item 130658), enabling you to place them exactly where you want them. Thanks for visiting!

Christmas in July

It has been so HOT and HUMID here for weeks; it seems like it won't ever end! To keep my mind on cooler times, I decided to share this fun Christmas card. I created this card using My Digital Studio as a sample to show my customers, and like most of the cards that I've created using My Digital Studio, it was super fast and super easy. It's certainly not a traditional Christmas card, but I love how it looks. Thanks for visiting!

"Filmstrip" Graduation Announcement

Here's another graduation announcement created with My Digital Studio®. I love designing and creating with this program because it's so user-friendly. Like my previous graduation projects, this is a very simple design. The "filmstrip" is fun and the flourish under the school name and date dress this up just a bit. Keep in mind that you have the option of printing My Digital Studio projects at home or, if you live in the US or Canada, through Stampin' Up!'s Professional Printing Service. For professional print pricing please visit http://www.mydigitalstudio.net/page/get-it-printed. Thanks for visiting!

Graduation Announcements Made Easy

If my recent graduation project posts have you thinking about creating your own graduation announcements, but you don't know where to start, take a look at this...
This invitation is part of the Embark Graduate Ensemble - Digital Download (item #133467) and can be made using a pre-designed template. That's right, with this particular project, you simply drag and drop your photos into the existing photo boxes, add your text, and you're finished. And if the colors aren't what you want, you can change them to match your graduate's school colors! It's. That. Easy.

This digital download includes:
* 3-page décor template (8-1/2 x 11")
* 1 greeting card template (5" x 3-1/2")
* 1 double sided postcard template (7" x 5")
* 1 swatchbook template (5-1/2" x 3-1/2")
* 1 journal template (6-1/4" x 8-1/4")
* 79-piece SVG stamp brush set
* 7 embellishments
* 3 punches
Features:
* Digital exclusive
* Templates for invitations, journal, swatchbook for friends and family to sign, treat toppers, a banner, and more
Colors: Basic Gray, Bermuda Bay, Gold Glimmer, Sahara Sand, Very Vanilla, Whisper White

Here's a peek at some of the elements that are available in this download...
 So, what are you waiting for?! Creating your own graduation invitations and announcements is SO easy when you use My Digital Studio®. Contact me today to order yours. Thanks for visiting!

Color Block Graduation Announcement

This was a very easy announcement to make and I just love this background color with the black and white images. The style of this announcement is simple, but the color blocks make it fun. And while it's obvious with just a quick look that it's a graduation announcement, the informational part does not overpower the photos. If this design is too simplistic for you, it's possible to add some artwork, such as an image of a graduation cap or diploma. One of the great things about My Digital Studio® is that the possibilities are virtually endless, so you can customize your announcements to fit your graduate's style, school colors, or whatever else you choose. A Little Late...

I had planned to post my graduation samples a month ago, but that plan went out the window when my computer was damaged during a storm (sigh). I realize that it's too late for graduation invitations but most of the schools in our area had their graduations this week, so there is still time for making announcements. With that in mind, I will be posting some graduation samples over the next several days. I hope you enjoy them; perhaps you'll find something that you can use for your grad. Thanks for visiting!

Greetings!

I know that it's been many months since I have posted anything. Unfortunately, our lives have been so crazy this past year or so. I am however, busy working on both traditional and digital projects, which I hope to be posting soon. I don't have any projects to post at this time because we sustained some computer damage during a recent storm and I am in the process of recovering many of my project images. Fortunately, I had posted some of the projects elsewhere, so I will be able to post those soon; the rest will have to wait for a bit.
I also wanted to let people know that I made the decision to close my demonstrator website/online store. It is still possible to order online with me as your demonstrator by going to www.stampinup.com and selecting me as your demonstrator when placing your order. Of course, orders can also still be placed directly through me by clicking the button on the left to contact me.
I will be putting together some product shares very soon, so watch for information about those. In the meantime, take a look at the new catalog and check out all of the great new products!
